THS News #15

Hardware and Software

We've got our Hauppauge HD PVR and Sony Vegas 11.0 mostly worked out. We're still learning, but for making episodes, we've mostly got that down. Episode 10 of Requiem was recently released using these two, really nice Hardware and Software. Check out Requiem - Episode 10 now:

As you can immediately notice, the episode isn't in Full Screen. Season 1 of Requiem is staying that same width size. We don't want all of the episodes so far being that size, then suddenly going Full Screen (unfortunately, Episode 6 is already like that). Also, the random green screen that appears at the beginning of Episode 10, we have no idea why that happens, but we think we've figured out how to get rid of it.

But in other news, we're back! Again... But with the Hauppauge giving better quality and Vegas Pro giving better editing, future episodes are going to be looking much better.

Thanks again HBO. Appreciate it.

Change of Schedule

While we did have a certain schedule planned, looks like plans are changing. Release date for episodes of Requiem will be planned on, but may be released around that date. So, expect the Planned Release Dates to be around that time than actually that exact time.

End

Some stuff was said. Mostly nice to know stuff, but that's still good.

Until next time...

Temporarily Offline

But Back In Mid-Late August

Yes. It's true. TEAMHALOSWAT is going offline for a while. Two reasons:
1) We're moving. Stuff will get disconnected, then reconnected, then we can work again.
2) Our Capture Card. The Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate we are using has become very slow, drops frames all the time when we record a scene, takes forever to add a scene, and for some reason, says it's not working and has to close, thus making the episode we're trying to work have all of its scene deleted. This is no me gusta. So, what are doing to fix this? Simple. Get a new Capture Card. A better one. A much better one. Of course, we're talking about the HD Hauppauge PVR. when we get the money, $200 at that, we'll have it bought online, then shipped, connected, and Episode 10 immediately released two days later, following Episode 11, 12, 13, and 14 the following weeks after.

There's always something slowing us down. We're getting tired of it. Once we have the HD Hauppauge PVR, we're going to work. No more being lazy. There's no sense in it. While we wait, this means: nothing from us. Come back in August. Mid-Late August.

But while we're getting annoyed by this, you get happy! Every thing from us will be HD, full screen, amazing quality, and just overall better stuff. On a small note, we were just going to get the HD Hauppauge PVR later, as in September, but seeing how our Capture Card is going right now, we're just going to get it now. See you in August!
